Texas has dropped its misdemeanor firearm charge against All-Star Cleveland Cavaliers guard James Harden, according to court records.

Harris County Criminal Court Judge Alex Salgado in Houston on Thursday dismissed the criminal charge at the request of the Harris County district attorney’s office as Harden completed an alternative resolution program.

Alternative resolution programs allow people to avoid a criminal conviction through performing community service.

The terms of Harden’s alternative resolution agreement were not detailed in court documents, per ESPN.

Harden was arrested June 13 in Houston after police discovered that Harden had a handgun in his vehicle.

It is a misdemeanor offense under Texas law to be in possession of a gun in plain view in a vehicle without having a license, which carries a maximum penalty of one year in jail and a fine of up to $4,000.

Neither the district attorney’s office nor Harden’s attorney in Houston immediately responded to requests Friday for comment via email and phone message.

Cavaliers management also did not immediately reply to an email requesting comment.
