Three-time Pro Bowl safety Jamal Adams has joined the Vikings as they prepare for the 2026 NFL season.
Adams revealed the move on social media on Monday night with a post that read “Year 10” and included the Vikings’ “Skol” hashtag, according to ESPN

Minnesota later announced the signing, adding the veteran into the fold when players report for training camp.
It’s the latest chapter of a career that started when Adams was a sixth-overall pick by the New York Jets in the 2017 NFL Draft.
He made three straight Pro Bowl appearances from 2018 to 2020 and was also a first-team All-Pro in 2019.
Adams played last season with the Las Vegas Raiders, shifting from his usual safety spot to linebacker, appearing in all 17 games, finishing with 45 tackles, one sack and a forced fumble.
His versatility could make him an interesting fit on Minnesota’s defense under coach Brian Flores.
Adams has established himself as an aggressive, tough cornerback who can impact both the run and pass, and his experience might be a beneficial depth option for a Vikings defense that enters camp with some uncertainty in the secondary.
The signing also comes as veteran safety Harrison Smith is considering whether to return for another NFL season.
Adams has also played for the Jets, Seattle Seahawks, Tennessee Titans, Detroit Lions and Raiders.
The signing provides the squad another experienced option for the backline as it starts preparations for the 2026 campaign for Minnesota.
