Kody Clemens hit one of the most spectacular finishes of the 2026 MLB season, smashing a walk-off grand slam with two outs in the ninth inning to lift the Minnesota Twins to a stunning 4-3 victory over the Kansas City Royals

The Twins seemed like they would be on the losing end as Royals rookie Noah Cameron held them hitless into the latter innings, turning up the greatest start of his young major-league career.
Cameron threw eight hitless innings with seven strikeouts, and Kansas City led 3-0 going into the ninth. But the Royals’ bullpen couldn’t hold it.
Lucas Erceg retired the first two Twins batters but hit Ryan Jeffers with a fastball, and Minnesota filled the bases.
Then Matt Strahm stepped in to face Clemens, who was on his last strike with a 0-2 count.
Instead of ending the game, Strahm watched Clemens hit a 407-foot shot over the right-field wall to cap a spectacular four-run rally and send Target Field into jubilation.
The explosion was momentous, especially in Minnesota. It was the first walk-off grand slam in Twins history and just the 34th known walk-off grand slam in major-league history, according to MLB statistics.
The win put Minnesota at .500 at 55-55 while Kansas City fell to 46-64.
