The Cincinnati Reds made multiple roster moves on August 6, claiming two right-handed pitchers off waivers and making an outfielder’s season-ending departure official.
The Cincinnati Reds have added another arm to the bullpen mix by claiming RHP Ron Marinaccio off waivers from the Pittsburgh Pirates.

The club also grabbed right-hander Chase Solesky off waivers from the Tampa Bay Rays and optioned to Triple A Louseville
The larger transaction was outfielder Blake Dunn, who was moved to the 60-day injured list. Dunn is already on the 15-day injured list but the move clears a spot on the 40-man roster.
Dunn already underwent a successful right elbow internal brace surgery and will be out for 2026 the season, per Sports Illustrated
He had been a staple as an up-and-down depth piece since joining the Cincinnati club in June 2024, appearing in 87 games during time while batting .232 with nine stolen bases and solid defensive metrics.
His elbow issues originally arose in late June, and a setback in rehab last week prompted the team to opt for surgery instead of a return this season.
Solesky’s move to Louisville gives the organization some depth in reserve for the rotation, while Marinaccio joins a Cincinnati bullpen that is looking for steadiness in the late summer.
