At 41 and without a contract, LeBron James is heading home to ‘recalibrate’ with his family; Yankee Scores reports…

NBA legend LeBron James says he is unsure what lies ahead in his career following the exit of Lakers from the playoff race.

The defending champions, Oklahoma City Thunder, thrashed the Lakers 115-110, registering a 4-0 sweep in the Western Conference semi-finals.

The King’s Crossroads

Considered to be one of the best players in NBA history, the 41-year-old is without a contract in the coming off-season.

“I’ve got a lot of time. I’ll go back and recalibrate with my family and talk with them,” he said.

“It’s about the process – if I can commit to still being in love with the process of showing up to the arena five and a half hours before a game to start preparing.

James is an all-time leading scorer in the NBA and owns four championship rings and four MVP titles.

Thunder Advance, Lakers Swept

While James netted 24 points in the game held at Crypto.com Arena in LA, MVP Shai Gilgeous-Alexander contributed 35 points and eight assists to Thunder’s victory.

“When the time comes, you guys will know what I decide to do.”

“There’s nothing I need to show in this league,” he said.

“I’ve done it all; I’ve seen it all. Just trying to compete and trying to win championships – that’s a motivating factor.”

Having swept Phoenix Suns 4-0 in the first round, the Thunder are set to play against either Minnesota Timberwolves or San Antonio Spurs in the Western Conference finals, with that semi currently being tied at 2-2.

Playoff Roundup

Meanwhile, in the Eastern Conference semi-finals, Cleveland Cavaliers registered a 112-103 win over Detroit Pistons to tie the series at 2-2.

Donovan Mitchell led the Cavaliers with 43 points in Cleveland, as they bounced back from dropping the first two games.

The star player scored a record-breaking 39 points in the second half of the game. The performance was matched only by Eric Floyd of Golden State Warriors during the 1987 postseason.

The Cavaliers and Pistons await their opponents in the Eastern Conference finals.
