The New York Knicks advanced to the NBA Finals in emphatic fashion, dominating Cleveland Cavaliers 130-93 in Game 4 on Monday night at Rocket Arena.
It was a 4-0 series sweep and the Knicks’ first trip to the Finals since 1999, with Jalen Brunson receiving unanimous votes for the Eastern Conference Finals MVP award.

Next up, the Knicks will face the winner of the Western Conference Final between the San Antonio Spurs and Oklahoma City Thunder, who are tied at 2-2 as Game 5 is scheduled for tomorrow night.
The NBA Finals are expected to tip off on June 3, so the Knicks have more than a week to prepare.
Hitting The Ground Running
The Knicks were clearly superior right from the start, building a double-digit lead through one quarter.
The Knicks made 56% of their shots, knocking down six triples and beating Cleveland in transition to score easy baskets around the rim.
By halftime, the game was over. New York scored the game’s first 20 points to put it out of reach and followed it with another 23-6 run to extend their advantage to 25 at halftime.
Brunson’s Heroics Continue
Brunson had 10 points heading to the break and was even getting “MVP” chants from the sellout crowd, as he and his teammates took a 19-point lead into the dressing room.
Nothing would change during the second half. After expanding their lead to 30, the Knicks controlled the contest from then on.

A Historic Playoff Rampage
Donavan Mitchell had 31 points for Cleveland as their season ends here, the Cavaliers reaching their deepest playoff appearance in over a decade. Evan Mobley contributed 15 points and seven rebounds, while James Harden chipped in 12 points after missing all six of his attempts from behind the arc.
Brunson finished with 15 points and five assists and played zero minutes in the fourth quarter. The leading scorer for New York was Karl-Anthony Towns with 19 points and 14 rebounds, with OG Anunoby adding 17 points.
