Saddiq Bey scored 25 points in Pelicans win

The Pelicans gave their fans plenty to cheer about in New Orleans, but the way they turned the game around was the real story, Yankee Scores reports.

Bey and Murphy Lead the Charge

Saddiq Bey scored 25 points and Trey Murphy added 23 as the Pelicans erased an early 18-point deficit to beat the Clippers 124-109. Murphy’s shooting was decisive—he hit his 200th three-pointer of the season late in the third quarter, sparking a surge that carried New Orleans into the final period with momentum.

Dejounte Murray contributed 17 points and 11 assists, while Zion Williamson and rookie Derrick Queen each scored 14. Queen was perfect from the line, making all nine of his free throws. Rookie Jeremiah Fears also chipped in 11 points off the bench.

Clippers Falter After Fast Start

Kawhi Leonard led Los Angeles with 25 points, and John Collins added 18. The Clippers raced to a 33-18 lead in the first quarter, capitalising on eight early turnovers by New Orleans. Leonard scored 12 points during that stretch, but the Pelicans clawed back to tie the game at 60 by halftime.

Despite their strong start, the Clippers dropped below .500 at 34-35, holding only a half-game lead over Portland for the eighth spot in the Western Conference.

Pelicans’ Home Form Continues

The Pelicans received a standing ovation as the final seconds ticked down, celebrating their sixth straight home win and ninth victory in their last 13 games. Murphy’s double-clutch dunk over Brook Lopez in the fourth quarter epitomised their energy, pushing the lead to 117-101.

Speaking after the game, Murphy said: “We knew we had to respond after that first quarter. The fans gave us energy, and we fed off it.” (AP)

What’s Next?

The two sides meet again in New Orleans on Thursday night, giving the Clippers a quick chance at redemption.

For the Pelicans, this was more than just another win—it was proof of resilience, depth, and belief as they continue to climb the standings.
