Lebron James informed the Lakers he would not be returning to the franchise on the 30th of June, and since then the proposals and hypotheticals have flooded the media
Up until this moment, Lebron James hasn’t given an hint of where his destination is going to be. But some teams have emerged as reasonable clear favourites
The Cleveland Cavaliers are one of the leading teams with many believing a third and final stint with the team that drafted him would be an iconic ending to his legendary career
The Golden State Warriors have also come up in the conversation as everyone knows Lebron James is fond of Steph Curry and has mentioned multiple times how he enjoys playing with Steph.
Draymond Green’s recent decision to decline his final year player option has also given Warriors the salary cap flexibility to acquire LeBron James
And now, the Philadelphia 76ers have entered the mix.

According to ESPN, Tyrese Maxey, Joel Embiid and Jaylen Brown have been in contact with Lebron, with Maxey leading the charge.
Maxey has been seeing training with Lebron James in the past during off-seasons and Embiid won a gold medal playing alongside Lebron at the 2024 Olympics in Paris
LeBron himself backed Jaylen Brown for MVP last season, commending him for playing great basketball.
“This whole MVP thing, I don’t understand why his name is not getting talked about as well”, Lebron James said in February
Sources in the league said the 76ers is a potential destination for Bron, along side other teams like Cavs, Warriors and even the Miami Heat with the idea of playing alongside Giannis also exciting
