Harper and Vassell Lead Spurs Offense

Dylan Harper scored 22 points and Devin Vassell added 22 with six 3-pointers as the San Antonio Spurs crushed the Philadelphia 76ers 131-91 on Tuesday night. The Spurs bounced back from their first loss in 12 games, showing no signs of fatigue on the final night of their rodeo road trip.

Victor Wembanyama contributed 10 points in limited minutes, while the Spurs hit 18 shots from beyond the arc. San Antonio never trailed and built a 49-point lead by the end of the third quarter.

Spurs End Road Trip on High Note

The Spurs closed their annual rodeo road trip with an 8-1 record, including two games in Austin, Texas. The stretch began with a Feb. 10 win against the Los Angeles Lakers and ended with a dominant performance in Philadelphia.

San Antonio had won 11 straight games before falling to the New York Knicks on Sunday. Their quick rebound against the 76ers reinforced their status as one of the league’s hottest teams.

76ers Struggle Without Key Players

Tyrese Maxey led Philadelphia with 21 points, but the 76ers managed only 11 points in the third quarter. The team played without Joel Embiid, who missed his second of three scheduled games with a strained right oblique.

Philadelphia was also missing Paul George due to suspension and Kelly Oubre Jr. because of illness. Rookie VJ Edgecombe exited early after a hard fall on a 3-point attempt, leaving the Sixers undermanned and overwhelmed.

Spurs Put on a Show in Philly

The Spurs delivered a throwback performance in front of legendary broadcasters Bob Costas and Doug Collins during NBC’s special NBA coverage night. Carter Bryant’s 3-pointer pushed the lead to 60-36 in the first half, drawing boos from the home crowd.

Harper scored 14 points in the first half alone, helping San Antonio build a commanding 78-53 lead at the break. The Spurs cruised from there, leaving the 76ers eager to move past the lopsided defeat.

What’s Next

The Spurs return home Thursday to face the Detroit Pistons, marking their first home game since Feb. 7. The 76ers will try to regroup quickly as they host the Utah Jazz on Wednesday.
