Erik Spoelstra was named Head Coach of the Men’s Team after Steve Kerr’s 2024 gold run last September
Mark Few has guided Gonzaga University to over 27 consecutive NCAA tournaments and multiple 30-win seasons.
In 2017 and 2021, he took the team to NCAA national championship games but the title has always eluded him.
Unlike Mark who has National team coaching experience as Assistant Coach, Daigneault and Bickerstaff will be stepping into that role for the first time.
But in the league, Daigneault has proven himself. He led Oklahoma City Thunder to the NBA Championship in 2024 and won the Coach of the Year award.
Bickerstaff on the other hand became the first head coach in NBA history to take a franchise from 60 losses to 60 wins in a two-season span.
In the 25/26 season, he led the Detroit Pistons to a historic 60 win season and the top seed of the Eastern Conference
Per ESPN, Team USA’s next agenda is to compete in the World Cup qualifiers in August, facing Chile and Columbia in an effort to advance to the 2027 World Cup in Qatar.
