The Arizona Cardinals and quarterback Jacoby Brissett have reached an agreement on a modified deal that would guarantee him $15.5 million for the 2026 NFL season, Yankee Scores reports.

The new deal is a big upgrade from Brissett’s first contract, which was a base salary of around $4.88 million.
The 33-year-old may potentially earn as much as $21 million if he achieves the incentives specified in the deal
Brissett’s contract situation became a storyline during the Cardinals summer as he was looking for some compensation more in line with his expected role as the team’s starting quarterback.
He missed a good chunk of Arizona’s summer workout, but was on hand for obligatory minicamp and showed up on time for training camp.
According to CBS Sports, Brissett’s contract, doesn’t have any extra years to the new deal. He’s still on track to be an unrestricted free agent after the 2026 season.
Brissett got the better deal after being the starter for much of last season when Kyler Murray was injured. He started 12 games and had 23 touchdowns while also throwing a career-best 3,366 yards.
But the Cardinals were just 1-11 in those starts.
New head coach Mike LaFleur is likely to have Brissett start practicing with the starters, while the veteran still has competition from free-agent signing Gardner Minshew and youngster Carson Beck.
With the contract disagreement behind him, Brissett can now focus solely on the 2026 season and prove he’s worthy of remaining Arizona’s long-term answer at quarterback.
