Tempers rose in Raiders’ eighth training camp practice on Friday, and this time the starting quarterback made the first move.
During the team training, defensive end Maxx Crosby hit quarterback Kirk Cousins twice, and the second time Crosby hit Cousins’ arm, the 15-year veteran had had enough.

Cousins grabbed Crosby’s jersey and got in his face as the two exchanged insults before the face off was broken up. Reports say the argument started with Crosby tipping a Cousins pass in the backfield during team exercises and things escalated.
Cousins stayed on the field to finish the drive while Crosby was moved to the sideline. Interestingly, the flare-up seemed to drive the quarterback up rather than rattle him.
“That’s two leaders on our team going at it,” Kubiak said, according to ESPN “Fighting or throwing a punch in an actual game gets a player ejected so we got to be smart.”
In the meantime, teammates appeared to appreciate watching their quarterback display some heat.
It wasn’t just the Cousins-Crosby scuffle that went down on Friday. Defensive lineman Jonah Laulu also clocked second-year right guard Caleb Rogers earlier in the session
