Harry Kane has agreed a new deal in principle with Bayern Munich.
Skysports reports that the deal runs until the summer of 2029, and the club is now finalising the paperwork.
Kane and his family are said to be enjoying life in Munich.
The numbers explain why Bayern wanted him to stay. Since leaving Tottenham for Bayern in 2023, Kane has scored a phenomenal 154 goals in 156 matches. Last season he scored 73 for club and country, including the World Cup with England, which has put him in strong contention for the men’s Ballon d’Or.
He has the medals too. At Bayern he has won two Bundesliga titles, the first in 2025 and the first major trophy of his career, plus last season’s German Cup and the German Super Cup in the last two years.
In the last three years he has also won the European Golden Shoe twice, awarded to the continent’s top scorer, and he has won the Bundesliga Golden Boot in each of his three seasons at the club.
Kane has done plenty for England while at Bayern too. He took the Three Lions to the Euro 2024 final and led them to their best World Cup finish since 1966 this summer.
Earlier this month he equalled Peter Shilton’s England appearance record with his 125th cap, and he’ll be hoping to break it in next month’s Nations League matches.
