Bayern Munich sporting board member Max Eberl has canvassed for a rapid contract renewal for Harry Kane to remain with the club, as opposed to an approach that will take time in regard to Michael Olise’s situation.
“You can see and sense that Harry feels at home in Munich, at the club, and within the team,” Eberl told BILD. “I can’t think of any reason why his contract shouldn’t be extended.”
Harry Kane won the Bundesliga Golden Boot for a record of three consecutive times and the league title with Bayern last season. Max Eberl also views Kane as the frontrunner for 2026 Ballon d’Or.
Harry Kane is one of the favourites to win the 2026 Ballon d’Or, alongside Kylian Mbappe and Rodri.
“I have seen first-hand how Harry has performed over the past two years. He has broken records and is a top guy. For me, there is no other candidate,” he said.
However, Olise is in a less pressing situation since he has three years left on his contract and lacks any release clause on his contract.
Both Olise and Kane featured as substitutes in Bayern’s 0-0 draw against Schalke, and they will be hopeful to feature more against Bodo/Glimt in the UEFA Champions League match at home on Thursday before they travel to Elversberg on Sunday.
Barcelona are huge admirers and have explored a deal to sign the English talisman. However, the Three Lions captain is enjoying life at Bayern Munich and appears ready to put pen to paper on a contract extension in no time.
