Liverpool and Paris Saint-Germain have reopened talks over the signature of Bradley Barcola.
There has been a difference in valuation between both clubs all through summer, as PSG wants to get around £145 million for their French international player, per Skysports.
Negotiations Accelerate
But the talks conducted so far within this transfer window are said to have been positive. There are chances of reaching an agreement with a week left for the transfer deadline.
There are also good relations between the two clubs at the highest level. It is expected that this will aid in Liverpool and PSG reaching an agreement.
Liverpool Pursue Multiple Targets
The other move Liverpool has attempted to make is signing Barcola’s teammate Ibrahim Mbaye who operates on the right flank.
The club’s aim through the transfer window has been to strengthen their positions on the wings. They have been targeting Barcola and Mbaye while Brighton have also turned down two Liverpool offers for Yankuba Minteh, the most recent one being £60m.
At present, Liverpool is the sole club pursuing Barcola who is entering the last two years of his contract and has become unhappy with his current position at the European champions.
Meanwhile, Liverpool do not wish to part with Cody Gakpo with Tottenham and Manchester City interested in him and would have to find two more wingers first.
