From hitting the crossbar in his finale to creating magic in the final third, the 35-year-old icon is now a free agent. Where should the ‘Golden Boy’ land next? Yankee Scores reports…

Colombian midfielder James Rodríguez played his last official game for Minnesota United in the MLS.

Minnesota Stint

Everyone was waiting for the goodbye of one of the best players in the history of Colombia, who started the game against the Colorado Rapids.

But the former Real Madrid, Bayern, and Everton playmaker could not save his side from losing 1-0 at home. The match marked the end of James Rodríguez’s story in MLS.

His departure is greeted with mixed impressions. He did show some flashes of a top player but was far from being a talismanic figure for Minnesota.

Disappointing Farewell

For the duration of one and a half hour, Rodriguez continued playing in the familiar position of an offensive playmaker trying to set up plays for his forwards in the final third of the field.

James Rodríguez had a good chance to end his time in the MLS by scoring the goal, hitting the bar with one of his shots. Even without scoring, Rodriguez proved to be quite creative and visionary, creating one big opportunity and making several offensive actions.

The Next Chapter

Having ended his contract with Minnesota United, James Rodríguez opened a new era in international transfers. In addition to being an experienced footballer, the Colombian is one of the best media stars and can add value to his team’s image.

Now aged 35, James Rodríguez is likely to attract the attention of several leagues around the world, which have been waiting for his next move after the MLS adventure.
