Harry Kane hitting 50 champions league goals

Harry Kane marked another milestone in his glittering career as Bayern Munich swept past Atalanta to reach the Champions League quarter-finals, Yankee Scores reports.

The England striker struck twice at the Allianz Arena, becoming only the second Englishman to reach 50 goals in the competition.

Kane’s Historic Night

Starting on 48 goals, Kane opened the scoring from the penalty spot after VAR ruled Giorgio Scalvini had handled his shot. His first attempt was saved, but the referee ordered a retake after Marco Sportiello moved off his line. Kane hammered home at the second time of asking.

It was his 14th penalty of the season and his 46th goal overall. He then added his second of the night — and 50th in the Champions League — with a stunning strike into the roof of the net.

Elite Company

Kane reached the landmark in 66 games, matching Lionel Messi’s record and doing so 25 matches quicker than Cristiano Ronaldo. Only Erling Haaland has achieved the feat faster, hitting 50 in just 49 appearances.

Already the highest-scoring Englishman in Champions League history, Kane’s latest achievement cements his place among Europe’s elite forwards.

Bayern’s Dominance

With a 6-1 advantage from the first leg, Bayern were already in control. Yet they continued to impress, adding further goals through teenager Lennart Karl and Luis Diaz.

Atalanta grabbed a late consolation via Lazar Samardzic, but Bayern’s 10-2 aggregate win underlined their attacking power.

What’s Next?

Bayern now face Real Madrid in the quarter-finals, a clash between two European heavyweights. For Kane, the focus will be on continuing his remarkable scoring run as Bayern chase Champions League glory.
