Dallas Cowboys and their star defensive tackle Quinnen Williams have reached a three-year extension.

The new contract worth $105.9 million, per ESPN’s Jeremy Fowler and NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport.

Contract Breakdown

ESPN reported that the deal includes $101 million guaranteed with $63.35 million guaranteed at signing, according to sources. Williams also received a signing bonus of $31.85 million, a source said.

The $35.3 million annual average is the second highest among defensive tackles.

Williams, 28, had been signed through 2027 in a four-year extension worth $96 million that guaranteed him $66 million from the New York Jets in 2023. He is now signed through 2030.

Trade Justification

Over seven games with the team last year since his acquisition in that trade, Williams has tallied 20 tackles, 1.5 sacks, 33 QB hurries, two TFLs and a pass deflection.

Over his career, Williams – who has been a four-time Pro Bowler – has 342 tackles to his name with 41.5 sacks, 60 TFLs, 134 QB hurries, 15 pass breakups, eight forced fumbles, three fumble recoveries and two interceptions.

Williams made first-team All-Pro status in 2022 when he tallied 12 sacks for the Jets.

Williams becomes the fourth defensive tackle to sign a deal with an average value of more than $30 million per season.

Jalen Carter inked a four-year extension worth $152 million ($38 million per annum) with the Philadelphia Eagles, while Tennessee Titans’ Jeffery Simmons averages $35.2 million per season and Kansas City Chiefs’ Chris Jones averages $31.75 million.

Earlier this year, in March 2025, the Cowboys inked Osa Odighizuwa to a four-year contract worth $80 million that was then the largest ever for a Dallas Cowboys defensive tackle in the team’s history.

Odighizuwa was traded to the San Francisco 49ers earlier this offseason for a third-rounder, as the team didn’t see him as a suitable player under defensive coordinator Christian Parker’s new scheme.

Prior to training camp’s start, executive vice president Stephen Jones stated that the team hoped to get a long-term extension signed with Williams. Williams’ agent, Nicole Lynn of Klutch Sports, was present at Saturday’s practice, spending time with the team’s front office. The deal got done two days later.
