Alec Peirce is still on the sidelines after an offseason injury on his ankle. The team General Manager, Chris Ballard has spoken on the injury and expected timeline
According to ESPN, initial sources claimed Pierce had a recent platelet rich plasma injection to speed up his healing but Ballard debunked such claims saying Pierce had a PRP only in January and the team are not placing a firm timeline on his return

“It’s been like any rehab, there’s ups and downs. There’s a new normal that they have to get used to. But there’s no setback. He’s in good shape. He’s making great progress. Every player comes back differently, and we feel good about where he’s at”, Coach Ballack said
After the team traded Michael Pittman Jr, the Indianapolis Colts resigned Pierce to a $114million extension deal for four years to make him their main wide receiver but injuries have been an issue
Ballack did not give a clear answer on when Pierce will return to action.
