Pre‑Lottery Picture

In anticipation of lottery night, the Washington Wizards, Indiana Pacers, and Brooklyn Nets each hold a 14% chance at the No. 1 pick. Utah and Sacramento follow with 11.5%, while Dallas hopes for another miracle after last year’s improbable lottery win. The final lottery order will be set May 10, but the current standings already hint at drama.

First‑Round Outlook

Beyond the lottery, the Chicago Bulls, Memphis Grizzlies and Oklahoma City Thunder hold multiple picks thanks to trades. The Hawks, Knicks and Lakers also sit in strong positions to add depth. With a class praised as historically deep, every selection could shift the balance of power.

Second‑Round Stakes

The second round features intriguing opportunities, with the Knicks, Spurs and Nets owning multiple picks. Houston, Golden State and Miami also have chances to bolster their rosters. For rebuilding teams, these selections may prove just as valuable as lottery luck.

What’s Next

The draft begins June 23 on ESPN, ABC and the ESPN app. With 14 lottery‑bound teams waiting for their fate, anticipation builds for a class that scouts believe can change franchises overnight.
