The San Antonio Spurs received welcome news ahead of Tuesday night’s pivotal playoff matchup. Victor Wembanyama, ejected in Game 4 for elbowing Minnesota’s Naz Reid, will face no further discipline and is cleared to play in Game 5 against the Timberwolves. Yankee Scores reports.

San Antonio Spurs standout Victor Wembanyama experienced his first career ejection on Sunday during Game 4 of the Western Conference semifinals.

The rookie star was tossed early in the second quarter after delivering an elbow to the jaw of Minnesota Timberwolves forward Naz Reid.

The Spurs lost the game eventually to Minnesota Timberwolves, 114-109.

Wembanyama Avoids Punishment

League sources confirmed there will be no fine or suspension for the Spurs rookie sensation. His ejection on Sunday sparked debate, but the NBA ultimately ruled the incident did not warrant additional action. That decision keeps San Antonio’s star on the floor as the series shifts back to Texas.

Spurs Rely on Their Star

Wembanyama has been the centerpiece of San Antonio’s playoff push, dazzling fans with his length, defense, and scoring ability. His presence in Game 5 is critical as the Spurs look to regain momentum. The team knows his availability changes the dynamic against Minnesota’s frontcourt.

Timberwolves Brace for Challenge

Naz Reid, who absorbed the elbow in Game 4, remains a key contributor for Minnesota. The Timberwolves will now prepare to face Wembanyama again, knowing his impact could tilt the series. With the spotlight on both big men, Tuesday’s clash promises intensity.

What’s Next

Game 5 tips off Tuesday night in San Antonio, with the Spurs aiming to seize control of the series. For Wembanyama, the ruling means a chance to move past the controversy and refocus on delivering in the postseason spotlight.
