Arsenal

After 22 long years of anguish and waiting, Arsenal Fans can breathe. The Gunners have reclaimed the Premier League crown, ending a drought that stretched back to the legendary Invincibles season. Yankee Scores reports.

Arsenal End the Wait

After three runners-up finishes, Mikel Arteta’s side have sealed the title after Manchester City drew 1-1 at Bournemouth on Tuesday night, confirming Arsenal as champions with one game to spare.

It ends a run of three straight second‑place finishes and marks Arteta’s second major honour at the Emirates. “Brilliant! It’s fully deserved,” said Sky Sports’ Alan Smith who was on commentator duties for City’s draw, reflecting the mood across north London.

From Setbacks to Triumph

The Gunners led the table for much of the campaign but wobbled in April after a 2-1 defeat at the Etihad. City looked poised to snatch the crown, as they started to breathe down the neck of Arsenal, yet the Gunners rallied, holding off Pep Guardiola’s side to clinch their first title since Arsène Wenger’s unbeaten 2003/04 team.

Arteta’s Blueprint

Arsenal’s success has been built on defensive solidity. “They haven’t had the best attack, but as an overall unit Arteta has done incredibly well,” Smith noted. The balance and discipline of this squad proved decisive, turning nervy moments into defining victories.

Trophy Lift and What’s Next

The Premier League trophy will be presented at Selhurst Park after Arsenal’s final game against Crystal Palace on Sunday. But the celebrations may not stop there.

The Gunners face PSG in the Champions League final on May 30 in Budapest, chasing a historic double and their first European crown.
