Former PFA Player of the Year Phil Foden, Trent Alexander-Arnold, Cole Palmer, and Harry Maguire all miss out of the England 26-man squad for the 2026 World Cup. Yankee Scores reports.
Thomas Tuchel released his 26-man squad for the 2026 World Cup and left several high-profile players out, to the disappointment of fans.

According to Tuchel on the squad being announced, “I love the tough decisions,” which did not resonate well with some fans. According to Great Nation on X, he said, “You mean this squad was left out? Trust me, England isn’t progressing beyond Round of 16.“

A name people did not expect, was striker Ivan Toney. Compared the other British strikers, Ivan Toney has the better numbers. The striker played in 32 games and scored 32 goals, with a shot conversion percentage of 34%, more than Harry Kane with a shot conversion percentage of 30%.

Wayne Rooney believes that the call up was a right call from Tuchel, and well deserved for the player.
