Nobody really saw this coming, or at least, nobody wanted to believe it. But it’s real. Myles Garrett, the best defensive player in football, is now a Los Angeles Ram, Yankee Scores reports.
The Cleveland Browns traded the two-time NFL Defensive Player of the Year to the Rams. In return, Cleveland got Pro Bowl pass rusher Jared Verse, a 2027 first-round pick, a 2028 second-round pick, and a 2029 third-round pick.
A Record-Setter on the Move
This isn’t just any trade. Garrett set the NFL single-season sack record with 23 sacks last season, and now he’s heading to Hollywood.
Garrett has been named a first-team All-Pro in five of the past six seasons, earned six straight Pro Bowl selections, and recorded at least 10 sacks in eight consecutive seasons, Per ESPN.

Cleveland Gets Something Back
The Browns don’t walk away empty-handed. Verse was the Defensive Rookie of the Year and gives Cleveland a young edge rusher to develop. The draft picks also improve the deal for a team that clearly aims to rebuild.
Garrett’s Goodbye
Garrett kept it classy on the way out. In a social media post, he thanked Cleveland and its fans, stating the city “made me tougher” and that “the best days of this franchise are ahead.” Those are tough words to write about a place he called home for nine years.
