Keenan Allen’s first weekend with the Indianapolis Colts didn’t go as anyone in the organization envisioned.
The veteran wideout was arrested on drunk driving charges early Sunday morning. Just hours after making his Colts debut in a preseason game, ESPN reported.
Colts WR Keenan Allen was arrested and charged with two misdemeanor counts relating to DUI, according to a public Indianapolis police report.

What happened
Multiple local reports say Allen was taken into custody in downtown Indianapolis around 1am. And he faces two preliminary misdemeanor charges: driving while intoxicated and driving while intoxicated endangering a person.
Online jail records list charges of DWI/DUI/OWI endangering a person, DWI/DUI/OWI with blood alcohol content of.08 or more.
He was in custody on Sunday morning at the Marion County Arrestee Processing Center and has yet to be formally charged.
Colts React
The team released a brief statement on Sunday about the arrest. The team said they were aware of the incident and was gathering information. The Colts said they had nothing further for the moment.
A Bumpy Beginning In Indy
Allen signed a one-year contract with Indianapolis on August 19 worth up to $8.32 million, with $2.8 million guaranteed at signing.
He debuted in a Colts uniform on Saturday in the preseason finale against Detroit, catching one pass for 24 yards.
Allen, a six time Pro Bowler has 1,055 career receptions for 12,051 yards and 70 touchdowns with stops in San Diego, Chicago and now Indianapolis.
How this plays in his standing with the team is an open question with roster cuts around the corner.
