The Miami Dolphins and linebacker Jordyn Brooks have agreed to a three-year, $51.3 million contract extension, including $35 million guaranteed, Yankee Scores reports.
The deal rounds out a busy offseason of extensions for Miami’s rebuilding front office. General Manager Jon-Eric Sullivan has let go of some veteran players since taking over, but made sure to sign the players he identified as the team’s core leaders.

Brooks is the latest example of that approach, joining running back Da’Von Achane and center Aaron Brewer who both signed extensions earlier this offseason, per ESPN
Brooks was coming off a career season in 2025, leading the NFL with 183 combined tackles and 99 solo tackles in 17 starts. His production earned him first-team All-Pro honors, the first of his career, and cemented his status as the cornerstone of Miami’s defense.
The new deal replaces the final year of a three-year, $26.25 million deal Brooks signed with the Dolphins in 2024 after four seasons with the Seattle Seahawks, who drafted him 27th overall in 2020.
Brooks was a constant presence in trade rumblings this offseason due to his expiring contract, but Sullivan had repeatedly called him a foundational piece that Miami wanted to keep for the long haul.
