Defensive end, Cam Jordan signed a one-year contract during the Saints’ minicamp this week, ensuring he will spend his entire 16-season career in the colours of black and gold.

Parting with Purpose
Jordan announced his return through social media, posting a video with the simple tag, “One final season.”
According to ESPN, He told reporters he plans to treat each game as if it were his last.
“I am going to take it like it is the last season. I am going to be conscious, because I am sure that only my wife and God can help me out of this,” Jordan said.
The Agreement
The deal is heavily incentive based, with a base value of 7.5 million dollars and the potential to go up to 11 million dollars with sack bonuses.
Jordan used a similar framework last season, banking $2 million in bonuses for his 10.5 sacks, his most productive output since 2021.
A Career Based on Performance
Jordan, a Cal product selected in the 2011 NFL draft with the 24th overall pick, has emerged as the Saints’ defensive leader.
He’s the franchise’s all-time leader in sacks (132), the first player in team history to record 175 tackles for loss and among the leaders in forced fumbles and pass deflections.
Many believe he’s a future hall of famer. He’s been named to the Pro Bowl 8 different times.
Still looking for a Super Bowl
Jordan, who turns 37 this month is already talking about the championship.
Jordan said he’s excited about the potential of the Saints making the Super Bowl in 2026.
“It may be a premature announcement but I do it every year and I will continue to maintain my conviction that we can do it”
