The Lombardi Trophy distinguishes good careers from great ones. Some of the top players in the league are still pursuing that one elusive goal as they head into the 2026 season. Here are 10 players who need a ring more than anyone else, Yankee Scores reports.
Josh Allen, QB, Buffalo Bills
Josh Allen is arguably the most feared player in the league in clutch moments, but a Super Bowl ring has so far eluded him. Most people consider him the best quarterback in the NFL right now. His legacy will carry a significant mark if Buffalo never gets past the final hurdle.
Lamar Jackson, QB, Baltimore Ravens
Lamar Jackson has been identified as the quarterback who most needs a Super Bowl win to solidify his career. Two MVP awards are impressive, but his postseason challenges have haunted him.
He struggled during the 2025 season, averaging only 196.1 passing yards with 21 touchdowns, both career lows since 2022, and he missed four games due to injury. He urgently needs a deep playoff run in 2026.

CeeDee Lamb, WR, Dallas Cowboys
CeeDee Lamb is the best receiver in the NFC, no question. The issue is that he plays for Dallas, a team that hasn’t reached the Super Bowl in decades. If Lamb goes through his prime without a ring, it will be one of the biggest what-ifs in Cowboys history.
Justin Jefferson, WR, Minnesota Vikings
Jefferson may be the most talented receiver since Randy Moss—fitting since Moss never won a Super Bowl either. Minnesota needs to figure out how to build around him before his opportunity slips away.
Joe Burrow, QB, Cincinnati Bengals
A healthy Burrow, alongside Ja’Marr Chase and Tee Higgins, would make the Bengals a strong contender. However, staying healthy has been his biggest hurdle.
He led Cincinnati to their first Super Bowl appearance in over 30 years, only to lose to the Los Angeles Rams 23-20. He deserves another chance.
Derrick Henry, RB, Baltimore Ravens
Henry is a first-ballot Hall of Famer who has charged through defenses for over a decade. Running backs typically have only one or two real chances at a ring, and time is running out for him.
Micah Parsons, LB, Green Bay Packers
Parsons became the focus of one of the most surprising trades in NFL history when the Cowboys sent him to Green Bay last August. At 27 years old, he is entering what should be the prime years of his career.
He is already one of the most formidable defensive players in the league. Now he needs a team that can help him reach February.

Tee Higgins, WR, Cincinnati Bengals
Higgins has been one of the league’s most underrated receivers for years. He came close to a Super Bowl ring and the Bengals owe it to him—and to Burrow—to make another appearance.
Justin Herbert, QB, Los Angeles Chargers
Herbert posts elite numbers year after year but has little to show for it in the playoffs. He is regarded as one of the six best passers in the league, but being in Los Angeles often means he gets overlooked. He is running out of time.
Calais Campbell, DL, Baltimore Ravens
Campbell recorded his 13,000th career snap last season and might be the only 40-year-old on the defensive side heading into 2026. He has been one of the most respected players in the league for 15 years. A ring before he retires would be a heartwarming story the NFL truly needs.
