The invaluable lead was being protected by Thomas Tuchel when Enzo Fernandez pulled Argentina back into the game, firing home a thunderous effort. Seven minutes later, super sub Lautaro Martinez, between Ezri Konsa and John Stones, rose highest to nod in Lionel Messi’s cross at the near post.
