Knicks Keep Playoff Push Alive at MSG, Josh Hart Shines

The New York Knicks aren’t done yet. With the postseason looming, they delivered a statement win that keeps their chase for the No. 2 seed in the Eastern Conference alive. Yankee Scores reports.

Hart’s Heroics Seal the Deal

Josh Hart erupted in the fourth quarter, scoring 15 of his 26 points in the final frame. His clutch shooting, including two massive 3-pointers in the last 42 seconds, lifted the Knicks to a 112-106 victory over the Boston Celtics. Jalen Brunson added 25 points and 10 assists, orchestrating the offense with precision.

Tatum’s Return to MSG

Jayson Tatum, back on the Madison Square Garden floor where he ruptured his Achilles in last year’s playoffs, finished with 24 points, 13 rebounds, and eight assists. He admitted feeling “some nervousness and anxiousness” before tip-off, but nearly posted a triple-double in his return. Despite his effort, Boston’s four-game winning streak came to an end.

Celtics Missing Brown

The Celtics were without Jaylen Brown, their leading scorer at 28.8 points per game, sidelined by left Achilles tendinitis. Payton Pritchard stepped up with 23 points, while Baylor Scheierman impressed by hitting six of seven shots from deep. Still, the absence of Brown proved costly against a surging Knicks squad.

Playoff Picture Tightens

With the win, New York (52-28) pulled within two games of Boston (54-26). The Knicks own the season-series tiebreaker, meaning two wins paired with two Celtics losses would secure the No. 2 seed. Under head coach Mike Brown, they’ve already surpassed last season’s 51-win mark under Tom Thibodeau.

What’s Next

The Knicks host Toronto on Friday in what could be a playoff preview, before closing against Charlotte on Sunday. Boston, meanwhile, faces New Orleans and Orlando to finish the regular season.

The race for seeding is heating up, and if Hart and Brunson continue to shine, the Knicks might just rewrite the script in the East.
