Luka Doncic

Luka Doncic put on another scoring clinic, and the Lakers kept their winning streak alive with a statement victory… Yankee Scores reports.

Doncic Leads Lakers’ Charge

Luka Doncic exploded for 42 points and 12 assists, powering the Los Angeles Lakers to a 127‑113 win over the Cleveland Cavaliers on Tuesday night. It was his 16th game of at least 40 points this season, and it came just a day after he sat out due to technical foul accumulation.

Deandre Ayton added 18 points and nine rebounds, while Austin Reaves chipped in 19. LeBron James, Jake LaRavia, and Rui Hachimura each scored 14, underscoring the Lakers’ balanced attack. The victory marked their fourth straight and coincided with clinching the Pacific Division title and a guaranteed top‑six playoff spot, thanks to the Suns’ loss in Orlando earlier in the day.

Lakers Control the Game Early

The Cavaliers briefly led by seven late in the first quarter, but the Lakers quickly seized momentum. Shooting 53.2% in the first half, Los Angeles built a 65‑53 lead at the break. By the third quarter, the margin swelled to 20, and they entered the fourth with a commanding 110‑83 advantage.

The Lakers finished the night shooting 54.2% from the floor, compared to Cleveland’s 49.4%. With the win, they reached 50 victories for the second straight season — their first back‑to‑back 50‑win campaigns since 2007‑2011.

Cavaliers Falter Despite Allen and Harden

Jarrett Allen scored 18 points, while James Harden added 17 in his first game back in his hometown since being traded from the Clippers in February. Donovan Mitchell was limited to just 10 points on 4‑of‑10 shooting, a rare off‑night for the All‑Star guard.

Thomas Bryant contributed 14 for Cleveland, which has already secured a playoff berth. The Cavaliers dropped to 1‑1 on their three‑game Western Conference road trip, losing for only the second time in eight games since March 17.

What’s Next

The Cavaliers continue their road trip with a visit to Golden State on Thursday night, while the Lakers head to Oklahoma City for a matchup that could further solidify their playoff standing.
