Nuggets Surge Past Grizzlies Behind Jokic’s Historic Night

Nikola Jokic is rewriting the record books, and Denver’s surge has the NBA buzzing. His latest triple-double added another chapter to a season of dominance, Yankee Scores reports.

Jokic’s Historic Night

On Wednesday, Jokic tallied his 34th triple-double of the season, finishing with 14 points, 15 rebounds, and 10 assists. His assist on Cameron Johnson’s layup midway through the third quarter marked the 198th triple-double of his career, 89th triple-double in three quarters, a staggering achievement. He didn’t even need to play in the fourth quarter, underscoring Denver’s control of the game.

Nuggets Extend Winning Streak

The Nuggets rolled past the Memphis Grizzlies 136-119, securing their 10th consecutive win. It’s their longest streak since 2013, and it tightened their grip on the No. 3 seed in the Western Conference. Jamal Murray poured in 26 points, while Jonas Valanciunas celebrated his 1,000th career game with 14 points. Denver now sits at 52-28, 1.5 games ahead of the Lakers.

Grizzlies’ Struggles Continue

Memphis came out firing, hitting 13 of 27 three-pointers in the first half to lead 72-68. Cedric Coward scored 27 points, but the Grizzlies faltered in the third quarter, getting outscored 31-13 in the final 7:51. Their skid has now reached six straight losses and 18 defeats in their last 20 games.

Momentum Shift

Denver flipped an eight-point deficit into a commanding lead with their third-quarter surge. By the fourth, the Nuggets had stretched the margin to 21 points and coasted to victory. Jokic, who has already clinched a triple-double average for the second straight season, continues to anchor Denver’s rise.

What’s Next

The Grizzlies head to Utah on Friday night, hoping to halt their slide. Meanwhile, the Nuggets will host Oklahoma City in a marquee Western Conference showdown.

Denver’s streak is more than numbers—it’s a statement. With Jokic orchestrating the offense and Murray delivering scoring bursts, the Nuggets look primed for a deep playoff run. The question is how far this momentum can carry them when the postseason begins.
