Paul George

From suspension to resurgence, Paul George has found new life in Philadelphia. He has become the driving force behind the Sixers’ improbable rally against Boston, pushing the series to a decisive Game 7. Yankee Scores reports.

A Reset That Changed Everything

George’s 25‑game suspension once felt like rock bottom. Yet the time away allowed him to rest, rehab, and rediscover his body. The 35-year-old George spent most of his first two seasons with the 76ers plagued with injuries.

Free from nagging knee and adductor injuries, the nine‑time All‑Star has returned with the energy and confidence that once defined his prime.

Game 6 Heroics

On Thursday night, Paul George hit five three‑pointers and scored 23 points to lead the Sixers to a 106‑93 win. His highlight came in the third quarter: a dazzling behind‑the‑back pass on the break that set up VJ Edgecombe’s thunderous dunk.

“I’m finally enjoying it now that I’m able to do things I was once able to do again,” George said. “It’s fun again. It’s like seeing who I am again. How can I be relevant again? How can I chase some of the things I was doing in my past?”

The Big Three Reunited

George’s resurgence has re‑established the Sixers’ “Big Three” alongside Tyrese Maxey and Joel Embiid. The trio combined for 72 points in Game 6, with Maxey adding 30. “Once he came back from his 25 games, he had a mission,” Maxey said. “I think he’s been accomplishing that mission.” Embiid was full of praise for the guard, “(He’s) just doing a little bit of everything,” He said. “We needed all of it.”

Chasing History

Philadelphia has clawed back from a 3‑1 deficit, a feat rarely achieved in NBA history. George’s averages of 18.2 points in the series reflect his steady impact, but his leadership and resilience have been even more valuable. “Before the suspension, I was kind of saving myself for games because of the soreness and I wanted to be as fresh as possible going into the games,” George said. “Now, I can focus on basketball.”

The Sixers now stand on the brink of a historic first‑round victory.
