Devin Booker and Jalen Green for the win for Phoenix Suns

The Phoenix Suns made a statement on Saturday night, and Jalen Green was at the center of it. Fans expecting a tight contest were instead treated to a one-sided showcase… Yankee Scores reports.

Green and Booker Lead the Charge

Jalen Green poured in 31 points, while Devin Booker added 26, powering the Suns to a commanding 134-109 victory over the Utah Jazz. The duo was so effective that neither needed to play in the fourth quarter, with the game already well in hand.

Grayson Allen chipped in 19 points, and rookie Oso Ighodaro impressed with 13. Khaman Maluach contributed 12 points and nine rebounds, helping Phoenix snap a rough stretch in which they had dropped six of their last seven games. The win pulled the Suns within 3.5 games of sixth-place Houston, a crucial spot to avoid the Western Conference play-in round.

Jazz Struggle Without Key Players

Utah, missing several regulars including Lauri Markkanen, Isaiah Collier, and Keyonte George, couldn’t keep pace. Brice Sensabaugh and Kyle Filipowski each scored 26 points, but the Jazz dropped their fifth straight game, their seventh consecutive road loss, and their 10th in the last 11 overall.

Svi Mykhailuk added 14 points, while Ace Bailey scored all 13 of his points in the second half. Kennedy Chandler contributed 11 points and eight assists, but turnovers and defensive lapses doomed Utah early.

Suns Set the Tone Early

Phoenix’s blistering start featured a 21-2 run in the first quarter, capped by Green’s three triples. By halftime, the Suns had built their largest lead of the season at 73-45, with Green already at 20 points.

Coach Jordan Ott noted before the game that Dillon Brooks and Mark Williams, both recovering from injuries, have been participating in 5-on-5 drills and could return during the upcoming road trip.

What’s Next

The Utah Jazz will return home to face the Cleveland Cavaliers on Monday night. After a string of tough losses, they’ll be looking to regroup and find some stability in front of their home crowd.

Meanwhile, the Phoenix Suns head out on the road to take on the Memphis Grizzlies. With momentum finally swinging their way, they’ll aim to build on this dominant win and continue climbing the Western Conference standings.
