LIV Golf has finally canceled the Team Championships that were supposed to take place in Michigan following weeks of anticipation, stating that it requires concentrating on “building its next chapter.”
A cancellation was quite expected given that players such as Tyrrell Hatton played in the British Masters from 27 to 30 August, while tickets for the Team Championships have stopped being sold.
LIV Golf today confirmed that the League’s 2026 season finale will celebrate an Indianapolis Champion, the 2026 Season Individual Champion and top three finishers and the 2026 Team Champion at the LIV Golf Indianapolis 2026 Championships.

Indianapolis Crowned as Dual Season Finale
Nevertheless, an official announcement of the changes to the schedule was made on Monday, and it means that this week’s tournament in Indianapolis will be the final one in the season and will serve as a Team Championship too.
The breakaway golf circuit has had an unpredictable future since its sponsor Saudi Arabia pulled out in April.
