Jeremy Jacquet has officially joined Liverpool from Rennes for £60m.
The 20-year-old passed his medical with the Reds on Deadline Day back in February but the deal would see him join Liverpool durring the summer.
Liverpool have paid a fixed £55m fee, with another £5m in performance-related add-ons.

“I am very happy. When I see the facilities, I can see myself there. I feel good here and I am very excited to get started.
“For me it’s a big dream, it’s a big club. A club like Liverpool, it’s a big dream for me.”

Chelsea made the same offer as Liverpool but the player has chosen to join Anfield where he has signed a five-year deal with an option for a further year.
Jacquet damaged his shoulder earlier this year but has worked his way back to individual fitness work following a rehabilitation programme and should be ready for the start of pre-season training.
He will join Virgil van Dijk, Geovanni Leoni and Joe Gomez in Liverpool’s first-team squad as one of their centre-backs.
The French defender was sought after by several clubs across Europe, so the deal fits in with Liverpool’s approach of spotting and signing up-and-coming top players, with the average age of their first-team signings over the last two transfer windows less than 22.
