Tottenham have reached a season-long agreement with Manchester City regarding the loan transfer of forward Omar Marmoush, with a requirement to sign him permanently at £60 million next year.
Marmoush, an Egyptian international, will now go through the medical procedures with the London-based club and finalize the process of his transfer, per ESPN.
This would be Tottenham’s second player acquisition from Manchester City in just a few days after the recent signing of Brazil winger Savio on a transfer deal valued at £75m.
Savio was an unused substitute in Sunday’s English Premier League fixture against Bournemouth, where he was playing in a match after being on the bench in the Community Shield match held a week ago.
This has been a difficult summer for City with a lot of player exits before Marmoush’s potential exit including Rodri, Bernardo Silva, John Stones, Tijjani Reijnders, Nathan Aké and James Trafford.
Rebuilding the Spurs Attack
With Tottenham spending £185m on signing midfielders Mateus Fernandes from West Ham United and Sandro Tonali from Newcastle United, the Spurs head coach Roberto de Zerbi was keen to strengthen the club’s attacking ranks.
Tottenham have struck a deal worth £75m with Manchester City to bring Savinho to the club, which has further £10m in potential add-ons.
Savinho, 22, will undergo medical tests after which he will sign a long-term contract with Tottenham.
This transfer deal has taken more than 12 months to materialize since Tottenham had failed to bring Savinho to the club last summer.
However, the player decided to stay put and play at Etihad Stadium. Last season, under Pep Guardiola, Savinho was not a regular starter with just seven appearances in the Premier League.
