"Who’s Gonna Tell Him?" Reactions as Fan Shares Cuba vs Portugal 'World Cup' Ticket
Cuba did not qualify for the 2026 FIFA World Cup.

A football fan has taken to social media to express excitement about seeing a match at the upcoming 2026 FIFA World Cup, but fans have raised the alarm.

The United States, Canada and Mexico will host the Mundial this year, with many outraged over the price of match tickets, especially in America.

One of the players to watch at the global spectacle is 41-year-old Cristiano Ronaldo, who will lead Portugal in Group K.

The Selecao are drawn alongside DR Congo, Uzbekistan and Colombia, as Ronald will continue his quest for a record 1000 goals.

However, a fan has sent the social media space agog when he shared a ticket purportedly for the match between Cuba and Portugal.

Cuba did not qualify for the 2026 FIFA World Cup.

Details on the ticket shows that the match is slated for June 12 inside the Lincoln Financial Stadium in South Philadelphia.

However, such a match does not exist at this year’s World Cup as Cuba failed to qualify for the tournament.

Sharing the now viral ticket via his X handle, @_common_W_ wrote:

“Cost me 5 salaries but guess who’s going to the World Cup.”

Fans have taken to the comment section to react. @VailaMercer replied:

“Five salaries down the drain. First of all, Cuba didn’t even qualify for the World Cup, and Portugal is playing in Houston and Miami, not Philadelphia. You got conned.”

@FergieTime93 posited:

“Honestly, If you fell for Portugal vs Cuba then you deserved the life lesson. Bro bought tickets to a game that only exists in FIFA Career Mode.”

@mohsan900

“The moment he’s gone realize Cuba hasn’t been to the world cup for the past 2 decades gonna crush him out.”

FBI warns of fake FIFA websites

Meanwhile, the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) has warned intending World Cup fans to be wary of fake websites.

In a public announcement on Thursday, May 28, soccer fans were warned about potential cyber threat posed by the fake websites, many of which contain the word “FIFA” in their URL.

The statement reads via Houston Public Media:

“Threat actors often create spoofed websites by slightly altering characteristics of legitimate website domains, with the purpose of gathering personally identifiable information entered by a user into the site, including name, home address, phone number, email address, and banking information.

“Spoofed websites may mimic the legitimate URL by using a minor misspelling, such as fifa[.]com, or alternative top-level domains, such as .org rather than .com.

“This form of cyberattack — called typo squatting — relies on internet users making mistakes, such as common typos, when visiting a URL.”

Ronaldo sets sights on 2026 World Cup

Yankee Scores earlier reported that football’s all-time scorer Cristiano Ronaldo is set to lead Portugal to yet another FIFA World Cup as he continues to defy age and expectation at the age of 41.

Ronaldo will head to the World Cup in his pursuit of an audacious 1000-goal milestone, as he closes in after every game.
