Carlos Alcaraz is set to make a possible return at Cincinnati in August before the final grand slam of the year, the US Open after suffering a wrist injury at the Barcelona Open
Alcaraz was having a wonderful start to the 2026 tennis season having won the first Grand slam of the year and his seventh grand slam title, the Australian Open, defeating Novak Djokovic in the final
After the AO in January, he claimed his second title of 2026 at Doha in February 2026 after defeating Arthur Fils in straight sets in the final
Alcaraz got injured in the middle of April at the Barcelona Open, an injury that made him miss Roland Garros and Wimbledon and will also miss the Canadian Open.
According to La Verdad, Carlos Alcaraz’s wrist is ‘completely healed.’
The plan is to gradually increase his training load, with the goal of returning to tennis in Cincinnati next month.
This is great news.
