Bagley’s Season-High Fuels Victory
Bagley came off the bench to score a season-best 26 points in the Mavericks’ 100-93 win over the Portland Trail Blazers on Friday. Bagley shot 11-of-14 from the field, including 3-of-5 from deep, while adding nine rebounds. His layup and dunk in the final minutes helped Dallas snap a five-game skid.
Cooper Flagg added 24 points and four steals, while Naji Marshall chipped in 19 points and five steals. The Mavericks, who had dropped seven of their last nine road games, bounced back after a 142-135 loss in Denver.

Trail Blazers’ Late Push Falls Short
Portland fought hard, tying the game at 92 with 2:25 left after Jrue Holiday drained a three-pointer. But Dallas responded with an 8-1 run to seal the win. Bagley’s inside finishes set the tone, and Brandon Williams and Marshall iced it at the line.
Holiday led the Blazers with 23 points, while Deni Avdija contributed 20 points and nine rebounds. Donovan Clingan dominated the glass with 17 rebounds, but Portland’s two-game winning streak ended.

Playoff Picture and What’s Next
The Trail Blazers, now 37-38, remain in ninth place in the Western Conference and have already clinched a playoff spot. Still, the loss halted their surge after winning five of six to reach .500 for the first time in months.
Dallas, meanwhile, hopes Bagley’s breakout can spark consistency. The Mavericks host Minnesota on Monday, while Portland looks to regroup against Washington on Sunday.
