James Harden

The Cleveland Cavaliers needed a spark, and James Harden delivered. With three clutch baskets in the final two minutes, Harden helped secure a 116‑109 victory over the Detroit Pistons in Game 3 of the Eastern Conference semifinals, cutting the series deficit to 2‑1. Yankee Scores reports.

Harden Redeems Himself

After struggling in the first two games, Harden bounced back with 19 points, including a decisive step‑back three in the final seconds. “We wanted to stay aggressive and keep the lead,” Harden said, silencing critics who questioned his late‑game execution. His veteran poise kept Cleveland in control when the Pistons threatened to steal momentum.

Mitchell’s Milestone Night

Donovan Mitchell carried the offensive load, scoring 35 points and reaching 2,000 career postseason points in just his 73rd game. That mark ties him for third‑fastest among active players and ninth in NBA history. Jarrett Allen added 18 points, while Max Strus provided a crucial steal and layup during the closing stretch.

Pistons Fight Back

Detroit’s Cade Cunningham recorded his second career playoff triple‑double with 27 points, 10 rebounds, and 10 assists, but his eight turnovers proved costly. Tobias Harris chipped in 21 points, and Duncan Robinson tied the game at 104 with a three‑pointer before Cleveland’s late surge.

What’s Next

The Cavaliers remain unbeaten at home this postseason, improving to 5‑0 at Rocket Mortgage FieldHouse. With Game 4 set for Monday night, Cleveland has a chance to even the series and shift momentum firmly in their favor.
