Six individuals were stabbed and 24 arrests were made during the celebration tour of Arsenal in North London, according to Metropolitan Police, Yankee Scores reports.

Euphoria to Violence

Most of the stab victims did not suffer serious injuries, but one man in his twenties was hospitalized in a critical condition after a stabbing attack in Hornsey Road prior to 20:30 BST on Sunday. According to police, he is currently stable.

Over 500 officers were mobilized for the celebration, which brought out hundreds of thousands of supporters, following the success of the club’s Premier League championship.

Attacks on Emergency Services

A Metropolitan Police spokesman said an officer suffered a slash wound on his hand while another suffered injuries to his head due to objects thrown around during the celebrations.

Among the 24 arrests were ten individuals suspected of assault against police officers; three suspects are under arrest for sexual assaults; and one was arrested for grievous bodily harm leading to a head injury.

Four police vans in Theberton Street in Islington sustained dented and broken windshields.

Rooftop Rescues and Overnight Crackdowns

According to the London Fire Brigade, they rescued 75 fans stranded on rooftops when some of them climbed up there on Sunday in their excitement, warning other fans not to repeat the same mistake.

In the evening, once most of the crowds went back home, six stabbings occurred, according to Metropolitan Police.

Officers were granted special stop and search powers overnight.

Metropolitan Commander Stuart Bell, leading the Metropolitan’s public order operation for the celebrations, thanked most of the hundreds of thousands of Arsenal fans for their conduct on Sunday.
