The New York Knicks head into their first NBA Finals in 27 years as they clash with the San Antonio Spurs at Frost Bank Center in San Antonio, Texas, on Wednesday night, June 3.
It would be a revenge mission for Knicks, who had a five-game loss in 1999 to their same opponent in a heartbreaking fashion.

However, Wednesday’s encounter is expected to be tightly contested, especially for the Eastern Conference, as this year’s champion is practically unpredictable.
San Antonio will depend heavily on the formidable form of their anchor and star Victor Wembanyama, who is sending fans abuzz at the moment.
The Frenchman led his side to their final behind 23.2 points, 10.8 rebounds, and 4.4 stocks per game, per SNY TV.
It his expected that his presence could determine his side’s performance especially as they approach their offense.
On the other hand, the Knicks seem to have built-in advantage with the ability to spread the floor with five shooters, but the Spurs will challenge that early by letting Wembanyama hover off Josh Hart.
The Knicks have had to switch lineups or hope Hart connects on threes to punish this adjustment, and they’ll have to again.
Ahead of the showdown, fans have taken to social media to react.

“Jalen Brunson will be feisty and Knicks will stop Spurs. Game 1 Knicks will win. Champions will be New York Knicks!
“Spurs are coming with a lot of hype and confidence! Young and energetic players. Knicks coming with vets and rest!”

“If you hate watch Spurs, Wemby is going to eventually win or win the NBA Larry O’Brien with another team.
“If you hate watch New York Knicks, you might develop heart attack. Who you want to hate watch? No one, everyone on the two teams, Spurs and Knicks, deserves to be in the playoffs final.”
