Jokic Leads the Charge

Nikola Jokic posted 25 points and 15 rebounds as the Nuggets defeated the Golden State Warriors 116-93 on Sunday night. He fell just two assists shy of his fifth straight triple-double but still powered Denver to its sixth consecutive victory. Jamal Murray added 20 points, while Tim Hardaway Jr. scored 10 in the third quarter to spark the rally.

Caitlin Clark Calls Jokic “Best in the World”

WNBA star Caitlin Clark recently praised Jokic, calling him “the best player in the world” during a national broadcast. Her remarks echoed what many around the league have been saying — that Jokic’s consistency, versatility, and ability to elevate his team make him the defining player of this era. Performances like Sunday’s only reinforce her point.

Warriors Struggle Without Curry

Golden State continued to miss Stephen Curry, sidelined for the 25th straight game with a knee injury. The Warriors have now dropped 16 of those contests, falling to 36-39. Brandin Podziemski and

each scored 23, but the offense sputtered after a strong first half.

Denver Overcomes Injuries

The Nuggets faced adversity of their own, losing Spencer Jones to hamstring tightness and Cameron Johnson to rib discomfort. Aaron Gordon also sat out with calf soreness. Despite the setbacks, Denver’s depth held firm, with Zeke Nnaji stepping in and even getting tangled in a second-quarter altercation that saw Gary Payton II assessed a Flagrant 1 foul.

Second-Half Surge

Golden State led 53-46 at halftime after a 19-2 run in the second quarter. But Denver flipped the script, outscoring the Warriors 40-21 in the third. Jokic’s steady play and Murray’s scoring lifted the Nuggets to a double-digit lead they never relinquished.

What’s Next

The Nuggets (48-28) sit two games ahead of Minnesota and Houston for fourth in the West and travel to Utah on Wednesday. The Warriors host San Antonio on Tuesday, still searching for answers without Curry.
