Gordon has already had an injury-filled 2025 season, appearing in only three regular-season games before coming back for Chicago’s two postseason games.
He missed time early with a hamstring ailment, and then calf and groin troubles kept him out for much of the season.
The Bears were hoping the versatile nickel cornerback would be healthy and ready to play a big part in their defense this season.
However his most recent setback has sparked fresh anxiety about his availability
According to ESPN, Poles and Johnson have expressed their unhappiness with the issue vocally.
The 2022 second-round pick has shown to be a vital element of the defense when healthy which makes him particularly important for the Bears’ defensive scheme.
The Bears are coming off an NFC North-winning season and will be hoping to continue on that success in 2026.
Getting Gordon for a full campaign would be a huge lift, but his recent setback means the Bears once again will have to wait and hope their star defensive back can return to full health.
