Paris Saint-Germain are negotiating a move for Liverpool target Yan Diomande with RB Leipzig, Yankee Scores reports.
The 19-year-old winger has said he would prefer a move to the European and French champions.
Liverpool were prepared to pay £86m but Leipzig want a lot more for the Ivory Coast international.
The Premier League side have not been willing to go any higher than that, which appears to give PSG a clear run at the winger.
The French club have Diomande under contract until 2031, but PSG and Leipzig are discussing the matter between clubs.
Whatever the player wants, the transfer is not going to happen unless a deal can be struck with Leipzig.
Manchester City are also watching the situation, per Sky Sports.
The Munoz Hijack
Liverpool have set their sights on Diomande after signing Osasuna winger Victor Munoz for £34.5m.
The Reds swooped in as a surprise after Newcastle had agreed a deal for the Spain international, who mainly plays on the left but can also operate on the right and through the middle.
Muñoz becomes the first signing since the appointment of Andoni Iraola as Liverpool’s new head coach this month.
Life After Salah
Liverpool are eager to sign a number of attacking players under new manager Andoni Iraola to replace outgoing Mo Salah.
But now it looks as if they will have to look elsewhere than Diomande.
