It is a rare feat to see father and son play together in a competitive game. The James duo did not just play; they sank the depleted Warriors in San Francisco. Yankee Scores reports.

James finished with 26 points, 11 assists, and eight rebounds as Los Angeles defeated Golden State 119-103 at Chase Center to snap a three-game losing streak.

Ayton scored 21 points on 9-of-11 shooting while Jake LaRavia contributed 16 points for Los Angeles (51-29), putting them tied with Houston (51-29) for the No. 4 spot in the Western Conference standings, one game back of the No. 3 seed in Denver (52-28).

The Lakers led by nine before outscoring Golden State 24-6 in the opening minutes of the fourth quarter. Luke Kennard scored 14 points, with Rui Hachimura and Nick Smith Jr. both adding 12. Additionally, Bronny James chipped in with 10 points to give Los Angeles a 3-1 season-series edge against the Warriors.

Injury-Plagued Warriors and Lakers

On the other side of things, Golden State fell to 37-43, losing five of its last six games while remaining the 10th seed in the Western Conference entering the NBA Play-In Tournament.

Golden State was without starters Stephen Curry (right knee), Kristaps Porzingis (illness/knee), and Will Richard (back) along with guard Gui Santos (pelvic contusion). Those absences resulted in the Warriors’ 41st different starting lineup for the season. Meanwhile, the Lakers were also short-handed, lacking the services of Luka Doncic (hamstring), Austin Reaves (oblique), Jaxson Hayes (foot), and Marcus Smart (ankle).

Los Angeles held an 8-point lead midway through the third quarter and still led 53-49 after two quarters. LeBron James led all scorers in the half with 18 points. With 1:38 to go in the third quarter, Bronny James nailed a three-pointer to make it a 15-point game at 82-67, but the Warriors closed the quarter on a 6-0 run.

Los Angeles extended its lead early in the fourth quarter by hitting its first 10 field goals, including four from beyond the arc.
