Skip Bayless has found his latest target, and this time it’s San Antonio Spurs head coach Mitch Johnson. The outspoken analyst believes Johnson is far too friendly with Minnesota Timberwolves superstar Anthony Edwards, whose brilliance in Game 4 tied the Western Conference semifinals at 2‑2. Yankee Scores reports.

Edwards Dominates Game 4

Anthony Edwards was unstoppable at Target Center as he tied the 2026 Western Conference semifinals at 2-2 in Game 4 114-99 win on Sunday.

The 24 year old lead in scoring, pouring in 36 points on 13‑of‑22 shooting with six rebounds and two assists in 40 minutes. He scored 16 in the fourth quarter alone, hitting a clutch three to give Minnesota the lead.

The performance marked his 18th career playoff game with 30‑plus points, pushing him past Dwyane Wade for the fourth‑most such games before turning 25.

Spurs Battle Without Wembanyama

San Antonio lost Victor Wembanyama early after a Flagrant 2 ejection for elbowing Naz Reid in the second quarter.

Despite the setback, the Spurs fought hard behind De’Aaron Fox and rookie Dylan Harper, who each scored 24 points to keep the contest close before falling 114‑109.

Bayless Calls Out Johnson

Bayless took issue with Johnson’s sideline interactions with Edwards, blasting the coach for acknowledging the star after big plays.

“Mitch Johnson needs to quit letting Ant Man dap him up after making big shots. Just leave him hanging. Don’t fuel his fire,” Bayless posted on X.

Bigger Concerns Ahead

While Bayless fumes, Johnson has bigger concerns as he remains on finding a defensive scheme to slow Edwards and awaiting the NBA’s ruling on Wembanyama’s status for Game 5. With the series now tied, the Spurs must regroup quickly as Edwards continues to shine.
