Mike Vrabel, Dianna Russini and Mother's Day post

The Patriots tried to wish everyone a ‘Happy Mother’s Day,’ but the fans had other ideas. How long can Patriots ignore the noise? Yankee Scores reports…

It appears that the backlash the New England Patriots are subjected to over the scandal involving their head coach, Mike Vrabel, won’t die down anytime soon.

As part of the standard practice for any sports team, the Patriots released a statement celebrating “Happy Mother’s Day,” and the reaction from their audience was anything but cheerful.

The Ongoing Scandal

Vrabel, caught in the middle of an upcoming scandal, is in a romantic relationship with the NFL journalist, Dianna Russini, a mother of two. In the past few years, both were spotted in different locations which triggered speculations about their affair. After the scandal broke out, Vrabel offered his apology for his actions, while Russini decided to step down from her job.

Amid the chaos, the Patriots have posted their Mother’s Day wishes on social media. However, instead of wishing people a Happy Mother’s Day, the comment section was flooded with jokes and allusions connected to the Vrabel-Russini scandal.

Fans’ Reactions

“Happy Mother’s Day indeed,” one fan wrote.

“No comment,” one fan joked.

“I haven’t looked through all the comments yet, but I can’t imagine it’s going to be pretty,” another suggested.

“Always remember to check those scheduled tweets,” one added.

“Haven’t even looked at the comments & I already know what’s up lol,” another shared.

“Happy Mother’s day to Jen Vrabel!” one added.

“So happy, your head coach celebrates it for two different women!” another shared.

Will Vrabel Stay?

It was a complicated and awkward moment for the team. Only time will tell if Mike Vrabel continues as head coach of the New England Patriots.
