Michael Carrick has had some welcome news ahead of Champions League tie against Roma. Patrick Dorgu is back in training.
The 22-year-old joined Monday’s session at Carrington after more than a month out with a hamstring problem. He hasn’t played since the 1-1 draw with Fulham on Sept. 20.
He picked up the injury on international duty with Denmark in the last break and has missed United’s last six games. With Luke Shaw still out, Carrick had to use Diogo Dalot as a makeshift left-back in Saturday’s 2-0 defeat to Chelsea.

It isn’t all good news. Shaw is still missing from training, as is Marcus Rashford, who is struggling with a hip issue, per ESPN.

The pressure on Carrick is mounting. United host Roma at Old Trafford on Tuesday without a win in nine matches, and the board is set to assess the 45-year-old’s position in the next international break. After Roma, they play Aston Villa at Old Trafford on Sunday, their last game before the November break. United are 17th in the Premier League, only above the relegation places on goal difference.
Carrick Shrugs Off Sack Speculation
Manchester United boss Michael Carrick has left the Chelsea loss behind and now looks forward to the Roma clash in the league phase of the UEFA Champions League.
Still winless in nine matches, United will hope to break the unfavorable run when they meet Italian outfit Roma on Tuesday.
